Team Jasmine: Beating Cancer 3/27/13

Greetings Everyone,

We know it has been a while since the last post but we wanted to share with everyone a Jasmine update.  We would first of all like to thank everyone for their continued support and prayers for our family! It has continued to give us strength and faith throughout this journey.

Jasmine is now back home and out of the hospital. We were officially discharged from Children's National Hospital in DC on March 7th and were on our way back to South Carolina that Saturday! It was a great feeling to be back home and Jasmine was super excited to be back with her toys and her doggy Brylee. It was a bittersweet moment leaving the hospital and the people who were with Jasmine from the beginning! We all connected and built a trusting bond with each other, but we know she is continuing to get the best care at the hospital she is in now.

For the people who work at Children's Medical Hospital we would like to give a big thanks for everything and all of you will be in our hearts! We promise to visit!!!

Jasmine is currently continuing her chemo treatments at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC.  Due to a fever because Jasmine's counts were very low we were admitted on the 13th and then discharged on the 16th. We got to meet all her new doctors and nurses. Everyone is very nice and give her very good treatment.

As of March 20th we were admitted again to MUSC to begin her 5th cycle of chemo which is a 5 day treatment. That Wednesday Jasmine had a procedure where they replaced her right nephrostomy tube with new tubing to avoid any risk of infection. This will need to be done every 6 weeks. She was put under anesthesia and had a breathing tube placed only for precaution to protect her lungs. She did great during this procedure which only took about 15 mins. That Thursday we started the chemo treatments.

Jasmine did very well during her treatment. She did a lot better than last time she had the 5 day cycle. She still had her high spirits listening to music and as always singing along to her favorite band (The Fresh Beat Band). We were recently discharged on Tuesday the 26th and we are very happy to be back home.

Jasmine has improved right before our eyes and there isn't a moment we don't thank God for her improvements. She is crawling and walking all by herself. We are currently working on walking up and down the stairs! She is such an inspiration to all of us! Her birthday will be this Friday and we are very excited she will be able to spend it at home! She's a big 3 year old now :)

We will be back on the 3rd for her 6th cycle. This is an exciting one because they will be performing a Pet Scan where they will view her whole entire body to see how the tumor looks like now as well as the areas that spread. They will determine from their evaluation if she will need surgery or radiation therapy or a combination of both. We will keep everyone updated once we receive this information.

Many people are asking what they can do to help.  If you would like to donate, please visit any Wells Fargo location and tell them you would like to donate to the Team Jasmine: Beating Cancer fund.
Also there is a donate button on the upper right hand side of the blog (make sure to click view web version if the button is not visible) **Donations will be used to help cover costs associated with Jasmine's care that are not covered by insurance including travel, food, lodging, and missed work.

Thank you again for keeping us in your prayers and hearts!

Psalm 18:1, 2 NIV
"I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."

  2. I am Mariam used every single spell worker on the internet, spent untold amounts of money and discovered they are all fakes...i was the fool though; doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. In the end, I decided that I wanted a tarot reading to know what my future held for me; I contacted a woman who lives locally to me and she told me about a man named (Priests Irumole); he does not advertise on the internet, has another job for income, has no set prices, makes no false promises and refuses to help anyone that cannot be helped and even helps
for free sometimes, he will give you proof before taking money. He is a wonderful man and he was the only person who actually gave me real results. I really hope he doesn't mind me advertising his contact on the internet but I'm sure any help/ extra work will benefit him.contact him as spirituallighthealing101@live.com He travel sometimes.i cant give out his number cos he told me he don’t want to be disturbed by many people across the world..he said his email is okay and he’ will replied to any emails asap, love marriage, finance, job promotion ,lottery Voodoo, poker voodoo, golf Voodoo,Law & Court case Spells, money voodoo, weigh loss voodoo, any sicknesses voodoo,Trouble in marriage,HIV AIDS,it's all he does Hope this helps everyone that is in a desperate situation as I once was; I know how it feels to hold onto something and never have a chance to move on because of the false promises and then to feel trapped in wanting something
    more.
